Frequently Asked Questions

Who pays the middleman fee — buyer or seller?
By default, the party who opens the ticket pays the service fee. However, this can be agreed differently between the two parties before the ticket is opened — some trades split the fee, others have the receiving party pay. The arrangement must be confirmed before the ticket is created. Once confirmed, it cannot be changed.
When exactly is the fee paid?
The fee is paid to the middleman at the point of the exchange — not upfront when the ticket opens. If a ticket is cancelled during verification, no fee is charged. If the exchange has already begun and is cancelled, the middleman may charge a partial fee at their discretion.
Does Auto MM take a cut of the middleman's fee?
No. Auto MM takes zero platform commission. 100% of the agreed service fee goes directly to the middleman. We sustain the platform through optional future features — never by skimming trades.
What if I'm unhappy with the fee after the trade?
Fees are locked in and agreed upon before the ticket is opened. We cannot issue refunds on fees for completed trades. If you believe you were charged incorrectly or more than agreed, open a dispute and our team will review the ticket record. If the overcharge is confirmed, the middleman will be required to refund the difference.
Can a middleman charge extra fees mid-trade?
No. Any attempt to add unagreed fees mid-trade is a violation of Auto MM's Code of Conduct. If a middleman requests additional payment not agreed at ticket creation, do not pay it — open a dispute immediately. This is treated as a serious conduct violation and can result in permanent MM deactivation.
Are there fees for high-value trades?
Elite-tier middlemen may charge higher percentage fees for large trades, up to a maximum of 5%. For very high-value trades ($2,000+), Elite MMs may quote a flat fee instead of a percentage — this is at the MM's discretion and must still be disclosed and agreed before the ticket opens.
