1. Data We Collect
Account Information
When you create a Auto MM account, we collect: your chosen username, display name, and the password you create (stored as a one-way hash — we cannot read your actual password). We do not require an email address for standard account creation, though you may optionally provide one for account recovery purposes.
Transaction Data
When you participate in trades on Auto MM, we collect: the items or assets offered and received, the usernames of all parties to the transaction, the assigned middleman, ticket status and progress logs, and any messages or notes left in the ticket chat.
Reputation Data
When you leave reputation feedback for a middleman, we collect: your username, the middleman's username, your feedback type (positive or negative), your written comment, and the associated ticket ID. This data is publicly displayed on the middleman's profile.
Technical Data
We may collect certain technical data automatically, including: browser type, session identifiers stored in sessionStorage (not sent to servers), and usage patterns within the platform. We do not use tracking pixels, third-party analytics, or advertising SDKs.

2. How We Use Your Data
Auto MM uses data collected through the platform for the following purposes only:
- To authenticate your account and maintain your session securely.
- To display your profile, trade history, and reputation information to other users.
- To facilitate and log trade transactions between parties.
- To process dispute investigations when you or another party raises an issue.
- To enforce platform rules and investigate suspected violations.
- To improve platform features and usability based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or third-party marketing services. We do not display ads on Auto MM and have no commercial relationship with any advertiser.
3. Data Sharing
Public Information
The following information is publicly visible to all Auto MM users by default: your username, display name, your reputation score and feedback log (for middlemen), your trade count, and your account join date. You should consider this when choosing a username.
Law Enforcement
Auto MM may disclose user data to law enforcement agencies if required by a valid legal order, subpoena, or court order. We will notify affected users of such requests where legally permitted to do so. We do not proactively share data with law enforcement absent a legal requirement.
Service Providers
Auto MM uses a small number of third-party services to operate the platform. These currently include: Google Fonts (typography delivery — no personal data involved) and DiceBear (avatar generation using a public API — only a seed string derived from your username is sent, no personal data). We do not use cloud hosting, databases, or server infrastructure that stores your data externally — data is stored client-side in your browser.
4. Data Retention
Since Auto MM stores data client-side in your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage, you have direct control over data retention:
- Session data (your login state) is cleared automatically when you close your browser tab or log out.
- Account and trade data stored in localStorage persists until you clear your browser data or request account deletion.
- To delete your account and all associated data, contact support@auto-mm.com from the email or username associated with your account. We will confirm deletion within 5 business days.
5. Cookie Policy
Auto MM does not use cookies in the traditional sense. We use the browser's built-in localStorage and sessionStorage APIs to store your session and account data. These are local to your device and are not transmitted to any server.
Third-party resources loaded by the platform (Google Fonts, DiceBear API) may set their own cookies per their respective privacy policies. We recommend reviewing Google's and DiceBear's privacy policies if this concerns you. Neither service receives any personally identifiable information from Auto MM.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to Access — Request a copy of the personal data Auto MM holds about you.
- Right to Rectification — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to Erasure — Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Right to Portability — Request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to Object — Object to processing of your data for specific purposes.
- Right to Withdraw Consent — Withdraw consent for any processing based on consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@auto-mm.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are located in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Security
Auto MM takes reasonable steps to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include: client-side only storage (no server-side databases to breach), password hashing rather than plaintext storage, session tokens that expire on browser close, and regular code reviews by our development team.
However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of data stored in your browser environment, especially on shared or compromised devices. You are responsible for keeping your device and browser secure.
To report a security vulnerability, contact security@auto-mm.com immediately. We take all security reports seriously and investigate all credible reports within 48 hours.
8. Children's Privacy
Auto MM is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a user under 18 has created an account, we will terminate the account and delete associated data promptly.
